Flight Information
Our flights take place throughout the year. We launch in and around
the Lancashire area enabling a breath taking view of the surrounding
countryside.
During the Summer flights take place early morning and evening, seven
days a week. In Winter flights take place during the morning, and early
afternoon. Ballooning like serendipity is the
art of making happy and unexpected discoveries by chance. Where you fly
is entirely dependent on the wind. No two flights are ever the same.
Each flight lasts for approximately one hour, although it is wise to allow
between three and four hours for the whole trip. The average distance we
travel is ten miles, at heights between 500 and 4,000 feet. Passengers are
welcome to bring family and friends along to join in. Those wishing to
follow the balloon are welcome, this is a great way of involving
everyone in the fun.
Safety
Safety is our paramount consideration, but we also like to have fun and do our utmost to make the experience one you will always remember.
John Fenton our Chief Pilot has been appointed the National Safety Officer for the BBAC.

Weather
Light winds, stable air, and good visibility are ideal conditions for ballooning. If the flight has to be cancelled an alternative date can be arranged to suit you. It may take several attempts before the correct weather coincides with your booking, but it is our aim to give everyone an enjoyable and safe flight. Please be patient, it really is worth the wait.

After We Land
Whilst we float along enjoying the flight, our experienced retrieve crew who are in radio contact with the balloon follow our progress, and meet us in the landing field. After the balloon is packed away, we then celebrate with a glass of chilled champagne, or orange juice, and the flight is toasted in the traditional manner. Each passenger is presented with a certificate signed by the pilot to commemorate their hot air balloon flight.
