What shall I wear?

Outdoor clothing suitable for the time of year. Long trousers and long sleeves preferably made from natural fibers are recommended.

What sort of footwear?

Owing to the British climate, take off and landing sites may be wet with dew, therefore waterproof footwear is ideal. High heels must not be worn.

Can I bring my Camera?

Please feel welcome to bring cameras. The steady flight of the balloon makes an ideal platform for photography.

Is it cold up there?

No, you will feel no colder in the air, than on the ground. The balloon is travelling with the wind and you will therefore not have any wind chill effect.

Are there any age limits?

There is no upper age limit to fly in a balloon, but a degree of agility is required. Passengers should be able to climb into the basket and stand for at least an hour. For passengers over 70 years of age or who have any particular health problems they are advised to consult their own doctor to discuss the possibility of flying . Children should be at least 12 years old and accompanied by an adult.

Where will we land?

We do not know our landing place until actually land, as we are travelling with the wind no two flights are exactly the same.

Is it safe?

Yes ballooning is the safest form of air transport and safety is our paramount consideration. John has been appointed National Safety Officer for the BBAC (British Balloon and Airship Club).

How many people can fly?

We have several balloons. our largest one being 240,000 cu.ft and capable of carrying 12 passengers. Our smallest can carry three passengers.
